Sa paper has been produced by hand for over 700 years. This small cottage enterprise produces the paper by hand, firstly collecting the bark from the plentiful Sa trees (Broussonetia Papyrifera Vent) boiling it, using the fibre in a traditional deckle and mold. The enterprise uses vegetable dyes and flowers and leaves for decorative effect. We have carefully looked at the operation of this enterprise and to the best of our knowledge it is operating following Fair Trade practices and principles and using eco-friendly production methods, just like our other partners.
