Heed Handicrafts

HEED (Health, Education and Economic Development) Handicrafts, Bangladesh, is a fair trade organization. The artisans come from many areas of Bangladesh and include widows, minority groups, refugees, and other disadvantaged people, most of whom are illiterate. As well as marketing the craft, HEED is also involved in micro credit, agricultural products, community health, gender education and leprosy hospitals.

Since its inception in 1977, HEED has understood trade as it is meant to be: An exchange for mutual benefit, a contribution to development, a relationship marked by integrity and respect. A business that is based on humanity.
